BIP and Projects Database Update:
As described in the BIP Update Workplan (link below), data and information on new projects in the Arkansas Basin has been collected and assembled into a revised project database. The BIPs are complete as of January 31, 2022. The final edits to the eight Basin Implementation Plans have been completed by the roundtables, their local experts, and the BIP general contractor. The new BIPs advance the basin roundtables' 2015 efforts. For the first time, a shorter and standardized Volume 1 BIP strategy document makes comparing BIPs easier. Additionally, basin efforts to identify local projects are now captured in the CWCB's new Project Database.
The final Volume 1 BIP link is below. For those who wish to dive deeper, feel free to reference the longer and more detailed final Volume 2 documents.

BIP Update
As part of the adaptive management framework adopted by the Colorado Water Plan, each basin is updating its BIP. A project team consisting of the Local Expert (LRE Water and Forsgren Associates), a General Contractor (led by Brown and Caldwell) and the CWCB will work with the Arkansas Basin Roundtable and basin stakeholders to accomplish this update. Outreach activities have been conducted to update the basin’s project lists, and to revise basin goals. The BIP Update workplan, and documentation of these activities are included below.

The 2015 Edition of the Arkansas Basin Implementation Plan serves as a tool for Roundtable members to help educate their various constituents, particularly policy makers. The plan includes three perspectives:
- The elements of the plan are organized according to the Colorado Water Conservation Board directive.
- The plan highlights the future challenges faced by the various types of water usage in the basin.
- A description of the Needs, Solution, and Plan of Action approach along with a summary of all Planned and Ongoing Projects to meet the needs of the basin are included in the plan.
